Jungle Fever
Between the palms, bougainvilleas, cacti and mango trees, the hotel offers a colourful oasis with the appearance of a tropical forest.
Sweetness of life
The Art of Living in St Barths
In St-Barth, the sweetness of the West Indies is combined with the present! Every moment of the day is an invitation to let go, to take full advantage of the art of living that characterises the island so well... Relaxed but not idle, sophisticated but not flashy, life here exudes the charm of the tropics, between sun and lush vegetation, white sand and turquoise water. The real luxury is to take your time...
Mixing styles
The history of the island and of the West Indies in general is reflected in the architecture of the hotel, which is inspired by British colonialism, mixed with ethnic influences from the Caribbean Indians. Not forgetting, of course, the inimitable French art of living, which finds room to express itself at Gyp Sea Hotel. This mix of styles is ultimately a reflection of Saint Barth : cosmopolitan, relaxed and refined. And Gyp Sea hotel is its jewel.
What to Do in St Barths
At Gyp Sea Hotel, days come and go. After a hearty breakfast on the terrace of your suite, with a view of the ocean, you can choose between numerous ideas for outings and activities. Fancy some sport ? There is no shortage of diving and paddle spots, such as in Grand Cul de Sac or on Colombier beach. Want to enjoy the sun and your friends ? Head to Saint Jean or Shell Beach, to share a grilled langoustine or a chilled cocktail at Gyp Sea Beach Club.
An ode to travel
Gyp Sea Hotel Experience
In a bohemian and chic atmosphere, the rooms and suites are as you would expect: soft, sometimes acidic colours, inspired by the colour palette of the majestic setting. In the decoration, we find all the know-how and taste of Jocelyne Sibuet, who, as usual, has managed to find pieces that enhance the atmosphere. Shell chandeliers, four-poster beds, headboards with shimmering fabrics, pineapple pedestals, brown rattan desks and bamboo furniture made to measure by small craftsmen, or even shell trophies and jewellery boxes, Syrian-style mother-of-pearl chests of drawers and other small chic and tropical treasures found around the world... Each object inspires a story, and each room is an ode to travel, physical or internal... This ethnic and tropical spirit is inspired by the Gypset style, a contraction of "gypsy" and "jet-set": bohemian chic.
And because the grandiose setting of Saint-Barth is an important part of the hotel's magic, the suites have large terraces overlooking the ocean and the Baie des Flamands. Some of them are intimate and have their own private swimming pool and gardens... A privilege that we never tire of !
